Sometimes it doesn’t matter where you’re going but rather who you have beside you.
I photographed Riley and Marian’s wedding June 29th, 2013, and was able to experience a radiant vow of love and companionship between two beautiful souls. Since then they have moved to Alaska for one year to finish up school, moved back to the Portland area, gone through three cars and began their own family traditions. I was thrilled when they called me to photograph their 1-year wedding anniversary. They even brought a wedding cake and engraved forks!
I asked Riley and Marian to share the five best things about marriage so far and this is what they had to say:
- Never having to say goodbye, only goodnight!
- Having someone to share chores with – it makes them go by so much faster.
- Always having someone to bring you a towel when you get out of the shower.
- Being able to communicated without speaking.
- Having someone to share with, learn with and grow with through any circumstance.
