#NoWeekendWasted

{ I have grown up in the Pacific Northwest my whole life, first in Washington and now in Oregon.  The older I get the more I realize the beauty there is to experience in this region everyday.  Join with me as I adventure around the PNW and capture cascading waterfalls, lush green flora and dense forrest light.  If you ever want to collaborate on an adventure let me know. }

McDowell Creek Falls is located 16miles east of Lebanon and provides the perfect adventure destination for a short hike with beautiful cascading waterfalls.  With the onset of spring I can’t help but book up my weekends with fun hikes as I continue to ExplOregon (explore Oregon) and photograph it’s beauty.

#NoWeekendWasted was started by two of the friends I traveled with who happen to be apart of an adventure group called Distance Club.  They post photographs, videos and blog posts about their adventures on their website and Instagram feed (@distanceclub).  The videographer, Justin Hooker, made a video of the trip and you can watch that HERE.

You never know just what you will find when you set out exploring.  One of the highlights of the trip for me was when I walked up to Majestic Falls and was greeted with a rainbow.  Not only was this a reminder to me of God’s promises, but it was also a reminder that He is the creator of this beauty for us to enjoy.

Royal Terrace Falls, one of the most eye-catching waterfalls in the park, has a stair-step style and drops 119 feet.  We took stairs to the top and were able to watch the water rush over the edge which was exhilaratin.  The park also showcases 2 other waterfalls that we didn’t have time to view.

I can confidently say that this weekend wasn’t wasted while spending time with the Squad at McDowell Creek Falls.
